Tanks R Us is the newly formed division, of the long established steel fabrication company W H Dale Ltd. In conjunction with their existing fabrication company, in January 08, after 10 years in supplying and installing plastic tanks, W H Dale Ltd thought the tank side of the business needed its own identity in line with the services offered.

From an idea triggered by Jago Chapman, son of W H Dale’s managing director Badger Chapman Tanks R Us was launched to take over as Lincolnshire’s’ main suppliers and distributors of the well know brand of Harlequin plastic storage tanks. With the increasing spate of thefts and rising costs of fuel emphasis was needed to be placed on security, Jago Chapman sales director of Tanks R Us took on board comments from customers showing concerns and noticed growing confidence in steel tanks. Jago said although plastic tanks fit the purpose of the new regulations careful consideration where they are sited with security in mind needs to be addressed at all times. After a meeting with another well established tank manufacturer Fuelproof based in Lancashire with security in mind, owners Andrew Hargreaves and Roger Pilkington agreed Tanks R Us fitted their criteria to be an additional agent for Lincolnshire, Nottinghamshire and Yorkshire. This now gives Tank ’R’ Us the Fuelproof added security and diversity to offer any combination of tanks from Fuel proof’s unique range of vertical and horizontal steel tanks as well as bowsers both for site, road legal and aviation fuels.

Jago also felt that there was a need for the movement of fuel in small quantities and went on to develop the now well established Fuelmover with the agriculture and construction businesses in mind. This product has been designed and produced for tanks ‘R’ us, being the sole trader we are now in the process of building dealerships across the UK.

Tanks R Us Plumbing, Heating, Electrical department was another needed addition to our group of companies as we found we were having to bring in third party contractors to do electrical and plumbing connections to our tanks.

Our oil tank installations were also often part of boiler installation so it made sense to offer the complete installation service as part of our package, so now we can install and service all gas, oil and electrical appliances.

The growing emphasis on climate change and the rising fuel bills is forcing us all to look at an alternative energy source, so we have researched into all of the latest technologies and tried to find the most cost effective, efficient means of installing renewable energy onto new and existing systems. We feel by offering renewable energy solutions this can only compliment the services we offer.
