Our Delivery Policy

Delivery of Products from our Online Tank Shop

All of our products advertised are brand-new (unless otherwise stated) and exclude UK VAT that will automatically be added to the total purchase cost (products and delivery) upon checkout/request for payment.

With some plastic tanks (oil, diesel, adblue, water and waste), their purchase price includes delivery within the GB mainland, excluding Scottish Highlands and surrounding islands. Some tanks do carry a delivery charge. Standard delivery time for tanks is normally 7-10 working days. However, in most cases this time scale is quicker. If in doubt contact us for further information and/or a bespoke delivery quote.

Other products and accessories listed have a standard 2-3 day delivery service. Other services may be available so please contact us if you require a quicker service.

We only despatch products from our online shop to the UK, if you are outside of the UK, please contact us for a bespoke delivery quote.

All items will be delivered by a carrier that will require a signature. Heavy items like tanks are delivered by an articulated lorry, so adequate access to the delivery address is required for such a vehicle. It is the customer’s responsibility to off-load these heavy items. Suitable equipment should be made available at the delivery address for off-load, or alternatively an off-load service should be arranged before the checkout process.

We endeavour to monitor our stock levels, so if a product is out-of-stock it cannot be bought, but occasionally errors may occur and if such does, we will advise you accordingly.

 

Carriage Charges

The buyer agrees to pay all costs for carriage as set out in the shopping cart. It maybe that a product delivery charge is included within the purchase price, whereas others carry a postage cost. All carriage charges are clearly stated when completing the checkout process.

 

Cancellation of Order

As per the United Kingdom and European Union’s consumer law, you have fourteen (14) days from your receipt of our order, to cancel it entirely or any part of it, providing that the goods remain in a re-saleable condition.

Should you wish to cancel any part or the whole order, please contact us first to obtain the appropriate returns authorisation. After a returns authorization has been issued, we will get you the return code for you to arrange for your goods to be collected, this is at your expense. All returns incorporate a minimum of 20% restocking fee.

 

Defective Products

If you believe that the products you have purchased from Tanks R Us are defective, please report this immediately to Tanks R Us. If they are or become defective within the manufacturer’s guarantee period, we will arrange with the manufacturer to repair or replace the goods at their judgement and consistent with their guarantee which, is generally for a period of 12 months from the date of delivery or invoice, whichever occurs the soonest with the exception of hoses and hand pumps which come with a limited 3 month warranty.

If an inspection of the goods is necessary on site and this deems there to be no fault of the manufacturer or Tanks R Us, an inspection charge will be applied.

Where a guarantee exceeds those required by law, these are provided at the product manufacturer’s consideration and not Tanks R Us.

In the main, Tanks R Us will not be made liable for any claims for consequential damage or loss, as the manufacture or carriage of all products is beyond our control.

 

Installation Requirements

As there are guidelines in place to minimise the risk of oil leaks, there are statutory requirements that tanks or appliances used for the storage and access of oils are installed by a suitably competent person and in accordance with the manufacturer’s installation and maintenance instructions.

Where electrical connections are essential with an installation, these must be undertaken by a qualified electrician.

Any poor installation or by someone who is not suitably qualified could contribute to invalidating any warranties held on a product.

Where such an installation is required, we strongly recommend that arrangements with a third party are not made for the installation until products have been received. We aim to provide realistic delivery dates, but delays are often the result of factors beyond our control (weather, traffic jams) and hence we cannot be held liable for additional installation charges caused by any delays in you receiving the products ordered.
